As you all know, we had a blizzard sweep through the southwestern US a few days ago, which dropped an amazing NINE inches of snow at our place:
Mom was in town visiting to escape the cold wet winter she's been experiencing in KY. Oops! Since the NM Gas Co couldn't handle all the demand for natural gas, they decided to just shut it off COMPLETELY in some areas while keeping other areas unaffected. Guess who's got shut off? We decided to pile in the car and do some sight-seeing, since that was the original plan for mom's visit--an added bonus was my car's GREAT heater :-) We also were on a mission to find some electric space heaters for the house-which we found an hour away in the local ski town. Here's a few pics of our beautiful warm 300 days of sunshine a year house...
Here's Sierra Blanca, where we went skiing two weeks ago...they got 23 inches in two days! Can't wait to go back!!
Just a reminder, its always( almost!) sunny and warm here in New Mexico, come visit anytime!
